Be Strong and of a Good Courage

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deut. 31:6

As you are likely aware, many of my posts here are exposing things in current events and hopefully providing you with some good insight. My hope is to help you discern what is coming and what we will soon be faced with. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news so much of the time; or to be discouraging in any way. My heart is to bring hope and encouragement. However, this is the reality of the times we live in, and it is far better to be forewarned than to be ignorant of what is coming just before us. We all need to take heed to the perilous times ahead. Sorry.

We must have a balanced perspective. The balance is to have our lives and our hope anchored in the Lord, and to know that He will cover us and keep us no matter what happens in the world. There are storms ahead. We can’t deny it. But He is with us and will never leave us. So, I pray you will remain encouraged no matter the circumstances.

We will be tested. Will we FEAR, FORGET, or have FAITH?

The Enemy wants us to either be gripped with fear or to cause us to deny or minimize the signs of times. May God help us to have clear discernment, to have faith, and to build our house upon the Rock, which is Christ Jesus. Praise God. We cannot afford to fall prey to fear or to denial. Please friends, HAVE FAITH IN CHRIST.

I want to add that I’m especially concerned and sensitive for families with young children. It can especially be a scary and overwhelming time. But you must surrender yourself, your children, and your future to the Lord. He loves your children even more than you do; and He will provide for them, and for you, in the midst of trouble. We must stand upon His word and take courage in His promises.

Psalms 27: 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock….

Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 91 –  1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways….

Exodus 15:1  Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. 4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Hebrews 13:5 … be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

We have a choice, friends. Do we believe the Word of God? Do we REALLY believe it? Do we trust in our God? Do we REALLY trust Him? Do we KNOW that He loves us and REALLY will care for us?

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

In order to endure to the end, we must find solace in His word and in HIM! There is no natural solution or place of protection, or provision, apart from Him. Though perilous times may come, He is our good shepherd. He is our Jehovah Jireh, our provider, our high strong tower, our all and all. There is no one or no thing stronger or mightier than HE! He is our refuge. He is our covering. He alone is El Shaddai, the Almighty God, our protector. We are still a people that truly believe IN GOD WE TRUST.

Psalms 61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Prov. 18:10  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Praise God.
